We enjoyed Active Schools Week from May 5th -8th. The children participated in a variety of activities each day. Our mornings started with a Wake Up Shake dance in the front yard.. there were some great moves from everyone. We ran laps of the school each day for our 10 @ 10. There are some serious athletes in Drimina. On Tuesday we enjoyed our Active stations where the whole school teamed up for some great games and fun. One of the stand outs was the penalties… poor Mr O’Hara had his work cut out for him!!
A juniors and seniors rounders blitz took place on Wednesday another great event with fantastic participation.
On Thursday relay races were the highlight of the day.
Friday seen the junior end of the school enjoy a disco on the yard while the senior children went swimming.
A big thank you to our wonderful Active Committee who were true leaders all week from junior infants right up to sixth class.
